Let’s spend the day in Winter Park!  We will meet in Our Lady of Lourdes parking lot at 8:30AM, board the bus to the the DeBary Sunrail Station and take the train to Winter Park.  We will return on the 2:06 train back to Debary to catch the bus arriving back to Our Lady of Lourdes by about 5PM.  Sign up and pay in the church office ASAP to reserve your seat!  Let’s enjoy this beautiful town and eat at one of the great restaurants…together!   We need at least 18 people to make this happen.

Fr. Kevin MacDonald, C.Ss.R., is a Redemptorist priest from Woburn, Massachusetts, about ten miles north of Boston.  He entered the Redemptorist missionary order after attending Boston College and playing seven years of professional baseball with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization and overseas in Holland and Australia.  He is a member of the Boston College Hall of Fame.

Ordained in 1991, he has worked as a parish priest in Dominica, New York, Boston, St. Lucia, and the Virgin Islands.  He is currently assigned to the Redemptorist Community in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  He is greatly looking forward to spending the week with us.

The African American Ministry gratefully presents the St. Luke Production of “Tolton: From Slave to Priest”  The live drama will depict the life of Augustus Tolton, the nation’s first African American priest.  We are excited to share the life of God’s faithful servant with our brothers and sisters.  Tolton may one day become the Church’s first African American to become a saint.  Procedures for canonization were started in 2011.  We are joining four other churches in Florida to bring this play to Lourdes in honor of Black History Month.

The mission of Helping Hands is to share God’s transforming love with our homeless brothers and sisters in need.  We provide goods and services with a dignified shopping experience to all homeless individuals. All 9th-12th graders are invited to join us in The Upper Room on the 2nd Sunday of the month.  We will get together to look at how God is working in our lives and where He is calling us to work in the lives of others.  We do this through discussion, games, food, and fellowship.  It’s a time to get away from it all and just be.
